Возрасните птици одлетале кога водата во браната Камферс пресушила. Тие ги оставиле без грижи пиленцата, кои биле премногу мали за да преживеат сами.
Малите птици беа пренесени со авион на 950 километри. Тие се сместени во центар крај Кејптаун, каде што знаат како да се грижат за нив.
The #FlamingoChicks are enjoying their time outside and getting more lively with each passing day! 49 chicks are still in high care & we hope to decrease that number so they can join the rest. As they grow and need more exercise space, we are already giving thought to arranging a space where they can walk and stretch until deemed fit for release.
